How to Batch-Resize Art Prints for Multiple Listing Sizes

To batch-resize art prints, set one focal point on the original, add every listing size as a custom ratio, and export all of them at 300 DPI in one pass. Put each artwork in its own folder, then a folder per ratio inside it (for example mountain-lake/8x10in/). Do not reopen Photoshop to repeat the same crop. Do not stretch one JPEG into every dropdown size.

Recommended folder layout
Name folders from the artwork, not from “final_v7.” Inside each artwork folder, use the physical size in the folder name (8x10in, 210x297mm). Keep one file format per export so you do not mix a JPG and a PNG the shop did not ask for.
Duplicate image names get a suffix in Reopic so two files called print.png do not overwrite. That matters when you drop a whole session into one ZIP.

Quality control before you upload
Spot-check the tightest crop (usually 4:5) for chopped signatures. Spot-check the tallest crop (usually 2:3 or A4) for too much ceiling. Open file properties and confirm 300 DPI and the pixel table from the 300 DPI guide.
Then upload to Printful, Gooten, or your press using each SKU’s template, not a generic 8×10 for every variation.
A catalog drop in one afternoon
Write the ratio list once: every size you actually sell, in the unit on the listing. Load painting one, pin, export. Load painting two, same ratios, pin, export. Keep a spreadsheet of artwork filename → Etsy listing ID so a VA can map ZIP folders to SKUs without Slack screenshots.
When a new size appears (you added 11×14), you do not redo composition from scratch. Re-open the original, keep the pin if you saved the habit of placing it on the same feature, add 11×14, export that ratio into the existing artwork folder. Tools that only offer 4:5 will make you invent a wrong 11×14 every time.
What not to batch
Do not batch-upscale a folder of Instagram downloads. The ZIP will look organized and still print soft. Batch is for originals that already have the pixels.
Do not mix canvas-wrap files with paper trim files in the same ratio folder. Wrap needs extra inches. Keep a canvas/ subfolder or a separate export with the template’s pixel box from Printful prep.
Do not batch-convert HEIC to JPG at 72 DPI in a random phone app, then “resize” those JPEGs. Start from the camera original or a full-size export from Lightroom. The ZIP cannot recover detail the conversion already threw away.
